Bath & Body Works Haul

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to do something a little bit different from what I normally do. I recently ordered some things from Bath & Body works because they were having a huge sale on their winter stuff. So.... I went a little nuts, but thats okay!
I love Bath & Body Works candles so much. I have owned so many different scents throughout the years that it is hard to tell which ones are my favorite. I also am obsessed with their soaps. I wash my hands so much through out the day that it really drys them out. These soaps definitely help a lot with keeping my hands moisturized and germ free! So lets get started!

They were having a huge sale on their soaps and I picked all these up for $2.43 each. Starting from left to right in the picture: Mango Paradise in the foaming anti-bacterial soap, Sicilian Orange, Crisp Golden Pear, and Frosted Plum Berry all in the deep cleansing anti-bacterial soap. And last but not least Twisted Peppermint in the foaming soap. I love all of these scents. They are all pretty self explanatory with what they are called meaning, the Mango Paradise smells like mangos, and the Crisp Golden Pear smells like pears. The Frosted Plum Berry smells like sweet red raspberries, and the Twisted Peppermint smells like peppermint. The Twisted Peppermint was one of their best sellers this year within the holiday collection. It smells very minty and pepperminty but I don't understand if there's supposed to be a twist to it...? I'm not sure.

Next up is the 4 oz. candles which I paid $4.06 each. Starting from the bottom left is Peach Bellini. It smells exactly like yummy peaches. On the bottom right we have the Cranberry Pear Bellini. I ordered 2 of these because I figured it would be a good scent for summer as well as winter. It smells very fruity and sweet. When I smell it I don't immediately pick up cranberry or pear, but nevertheless it does smell really yummy. On top of my little tower of smelly deliciousness is Frosted Cupcake. Now I feel like this is such a "love it or hate it" scent. Most people either love the way it smells or absolutely hate it. Obviously I love it. I love sweet, vanilla, cookie/cupcake scents so much. I love having my house smell like a delicious cupcake!

Moving on to the jar candles. First of all lets just take a moment to soak in how freaking cute these are. I love love love the packaging on these and I love the style. So cute! These are all from their holiday collection and I paid $4.87 for each. On the bottom left I got the twisted peppermint. Like I said about the soap, it just smells very pepperminty but I do like it a lot. On the top I got the Mint Chocolate. Oh. My. Gosh. This stuff smells amazeballs. When I first unpacked everything when I got it in the mail, my husband was smelling them as I took them out. When he got to this one he said, and I quote " I want to eat this. It smells so good.". Yes people, this scent is amazing. So for Trevor (my husband) I burned this one first, and i'm not going to lie I was a bit disappointed. I had it burning for around a total of 4 or 5 hours and I could literally barely smell a thing. It was weird because I have a 3-wick candle from B&BW and it makes the room smell amazing in minutes. So I thought maybe it was because it's just a smaller candle? I'm not sure. If you have any suggestions let me know!
Okay, and last is the Vanilla Bean Noel scent. I have been head over heels for this scent since it first came out when I was in like middle school I think. It is just amazing. Now if you are not too fond of sugary, sweet smells you will hate this. It is amazing and I love it!

If you got any candles that you love this year, or discovered a new scent you love let me know down in the comments! I hope you enjoyed this post! Until next time!

Love it OR Toss it: Smashbox Wonder Vision

It's that time of the week again my friends! Love it or Toss it! This week I am going to talk about the Smashbox Wonder Vision eye set. This set includes a little pallet of 6 eyeshadows, a mascara, and a eye liner. My wonderful husband bought this for me for Christmas. I believe it is still available at Sephora, and last I checked it was on sale! They came out with 3 different versions of this, the peachy neutral tones (which is the one I got), blue and neutral tones, and then another one with more pinky tones.

I have never owned anything from Smashbox besides primer, so I was excited to give these a try. The eyeshadows are seriously pigmented and so so so creamy. They literally feel like butter when you swatch them with your finger. It is amazing. I love all of the colors that it came with. My favorite one is Peach which is the top center one. One thing I love is that there are matte shades and shimmery shades.
The Mascara that it came with is the Full Exposure mascara in Jet black. The brush on this mascara is massive! I love mixing it with a lighter mascara to coat my lashes first, and then using the Smashobox one overtop for fuller and longer lashes. I have used this mascara pretty much everyday since I got it, and I am really pleased with it. Next up is the eye liner. I got the Limitless Eye Liner in Onyx. It is very black, and creamy. It goes on really nicely and I really like it! I use it in my waterline and on my lash line.
As i'm sure you can already tell this is a Love it for me! I love this set, especially the eyeshadows. I will definitely be purchasing some more Smashbox products in the future!

If you have this set or if you recommend some other Smashbox products let me know down in the comments! Always remember if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!
Until next time,

Love it OR Toss it: Maybelline Fit Me Stick Foundation.

It's friday and you know what that means..... Love it OR Toss it! Today i'm going to be talking about the Maybelline fit me stick foundation.
I have mine in the shade classic ivory 120. The color is really nice and matches my skin quite well. I would say this foundation is a light coverage. It says it is supposed to be shine free and have a matte finish. I would't exactly say it is shine free.
Now a little bit about my skin. I have combination skin. I'm not really oily at all, but I am also not dry. I do sometimes get a little oily in my t-zone throughout the day. I also have many many freckles on my face, so it is easy to tell when the foundation is not staying put throughout the day.
Which is what I really notice with this foundation. It stays on and looks alright for about halfway through my work day. When I put this foundation on I use the stick and just do a few streaks on each cheek, one on the forehead, and one on my chin. Then I use my flattop kabuki brush to blend it in. After I am done blending I just feel like it comes all off. The coverage is basically close to nothing. I will even go as far as saying that this is the foundation I put on to go to the gym. (Yes I wear a little bit of foundation to the gym, I don't like how my face gets super red when I get hot. :) )
I think you can tell by now that this is a toss it for me! I will not be repurchasing it. I won't go as far as saying I regret purchasing it, but I definitely won't buy it again. I just feel that I could get something way better at the drug store for basically the same price.

So if you have this product I would like to know down in the comments what you think about it! Or maybe some of your tips and tricks with working with this foundation and how to make it look better.
Always remember if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!
Until next time,

Golden Globes Best Dressed 2014

The season has crept upon us once again. It's award season! The Golden Globes took place last Sunday the 12th in Beverly Hills. I personally find the actual show quite boring, but nevertheless the Red Carpet is my favorite part. I am going to tell you lovely people who I think was the best dressed at the Golden Globes 2014.
P.S. Get ready for a lot of "OMG" and "So Beautiful"....  ;)

Olivia Wilde in Gucci. Oh.My.Goodnes. She looks stunning. I love this color on her, love her hair and makeup, and she is just glowing. I hope I look like that when I am pregnant one day!

Julia Bowen in Carolina Herrera. I wouldn't really think to put these two colors together but in this dress it works. Her hair is amazing, I love that she wore it up. I think she looks gorgeous in this!

Sofia Vergara in Zac Posen. I think the thing I love the most about this look is the necklace. It looks so chic with the black dress.

Margot Robbie in Gucci. I love the posh simplicity of this dress. It looks amazing on her. The slit is just the right height and the detail around the top of the dress just kicks it up a notch.

Amy Poehler in Stella McCarthey. She looks amazing! I love the simplicity of the black dress, but the cut outs and cool neck line is so different and so cute!

Taylor Schilling in Thakoon. The color of this dress just goes so perfectly with her hair and skin tone. I love the kind of "laid back" feel to it, but yet it is still dressy enough for the occasion.

Kate Mara in J. Mendel. Ahhhh. I love this dress so much. I think it is so flattering on her and I just love it. Her hair looks perfect and I love the pinky nude lip, and very minimal eye makeup. She looks great!

Sosie Bacon in Rhea Costa. Love this dress. It is so beautiful. I love the detailing in the top of the dress, and the color looks very nice with her skin tone. The only thing I would change is her hair. I feel like It might've looked better with her hair up. What do you think?

Mila Kunis in Gucci. I am obsessed with the top half of this dress. It is so different and unique I love it. I think her hair also looks very chic and sophisticated pulled back and very sleek.

I would love if you all would tell me down in the comments who you think was best dressed! The designer who took the cake for me this year at the Golden Globes is definitely Gucci. All of their looks are stunning this year!
Until next time.

Love it OR Toss it: Loreal Damage-Erasing Balm

Today on Love it OR Leave it I am going to be talking about the Loreal Damage-erasing balm. This is a product from loreal's fairly new line of products called Total Repair 5.

This is essentially a lotion for your hair. I don't really know how else to describe it. The consistency of this product is extremely thick and luxurious. It also smells great which is a big plus. I'm just going to say it now. This product is definitely a love it. Okay more like a love love love love love it. Yes that was necessary. This product I believe has transformed my hair. I have always had pretty healthy hair, my only problem area was my ends. This stuff has seriously changed my ends.

I put this on my hair while I'm in the shower, and after I use shampoo. I leave it on for as long as I can, usually around 5 or 7 minutes. When you wash it out your hair feels like a silky, healthy, piece of awesomeness. I am serious ladies, You need this in your life like ASAP no questions asked.
You can find this at pretty much any drugstore. I buy mine at the Navy Exchange for around $6. I am not even lying I would probably spend up to $20 at least on this. It is simply amazing and a total must buy if you love silky smooth amazing hair!

I hope this has helped you if you are having some trouble with finding an affordable alternative damage eraser. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! I will see you ladies next week for another weekly post on Love it Or Leave it!
Until next time,

D.I.Y Sharpie Mugs

Hello everyone! So I have decided to jump on the sharpie mug band wagon, and share some of my tips and tricks with you! These mugs are so adorable, personalized, and good for any occasion. These would be great for a gift for anybody or any holiday. I think one of the things I love the most about these are how they just look handmade... That doesn't make sense. I guess what i'm trying to say is I like that they have your very own handwriting and you were creative in making them. That to me is the best kind of gift! Thought out and personalized. Okay enough rambling, lets get started!

What you will need:
A ceramic mug (The cheaper the better, Dollar store ones work great!)
A Sharpie. I used a normal sharpie and a fine tip.
Rubbing Alcohol
Q-tips
Cotton pads
Some creativity!

First off you need to soak your cotton pad in the rubbing alcohol, and then clean the mug. While you are doing this don't touch the mug after you clean it. The oils from your hands could prevent the sharpie from sticking to your mug while you bake it.

If you have some rubber gloves that would probably be the best way to do this, because let me tell you, it is not easy to not touch your mug while drawing. I didn't have any gloves so I just wrapped my hand in saran wrap... I know. I don't want to talk about it either.

Once you have cleaned the surface, start drawing! You can prepare a few Q-tips dipped in alcohol, because if you are speedy you can remove any mistakes you make with the Q-tip.

I decided to make a mug for my husband. I wrote "Goodmorning Sunshine" on the outside of the mug. On the inside rim I wrote "I love you handsome". Cute, I know ;). The other mug I just opted for some cute designs. If you wanted to write one of your favorite quotes, or if you're good at drawing then draw something cool!

Once you are done drawing still be sure to not touch it! Set your mug or mugs aside in a safe place where they will be left alone for 24 hours. By letting it sit it allows the sharpie to fully set. I put some saran wrap over them and left it till the next day.
Once you have let them sit for 24 hours it is time to bake them!  FIRST put your mugs in the oven when it is cold. Then turn your oven to 425 degrees fahrenheit. Leave the mugs in for 30 minutes. If you know your oven takes awhile to heat up, then start the timer for 30 minutes once it has reached 425.

I would recommend checking your mug throughout the 30 minutes just to make sure your mug is staying white, and does not turn brown int he heat.

Once the timer has gone off turn the oven off and LEAVE your mugs inside the oven until it is cold enough to reach your hand in and take the mug out. You can then test to make sure the sharpie has stayed by rubbing a wet rag over the part you have drawn on. If not, put it in the over for round 2. Same degree and time.

The next test is the dishwasher! If it passes that test then you get an A+! I ran mine through the dishwasher and I am happy to report it stayed on! I would love to hear about your mugs. If they worked or not, and also what you drew! I hope I inspired you to do something fun and cool! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!
Until next time

Love it OR Toss it: Soap&Glory.

Love it or toss it is going to be a new weekly series I am going to do! So this is how it's going to work. Every week I am going to pick a product that I have had proper time to review, and then tell you if I "Love it" or if I want to "Toss it". Meaning i'm not going to buy a foundation, wear it once, hate it, then put it in the "toss it" pile. I have found that even though I may not be too fond of it the first time I used it, sometimes if I use it again and again I might just like it! I will be reviewing not only beauty products but clothes, accessories, food, and probably anything else you can think of!

So here we are. Let's get started. This week I am going to talk about Soap & Glory products.

The products I am going to mention are (from left to right in the picture) The clean girls body wash, 3 body butters, and the Face soap and Clarity.

So first off is the body wash. It says it's a skin softening cream body wash, and let me tell you that they are spot on with that statement. This stuff feels amazing on your skin, it has a serious amount of suds..? is that the right word, bubbles? I don't know. Anyways it is very luxurious and after you wash with it you can feel the difference in your skin, it will feel moisturized and clean. It does have a kind of hard scent to describe. I would say it has a very "clean" scent mixed with some vanilla. I think you can already guess but this is definitely a Love it for me.

Next up we have the Body butter trio! These 3 came as a set from Sephora for $15. The Righteous butter (the one all the way to the right in the package) is the only one that you can buy in this size, which is great to put in your purse or travel with, and it is $5. The other 2 you have to buy in a bigger container which I believe they are $20 each. One of the main reasons I got this was because I already have the righteous butter in the small container, and I wanted to try the other scents, but didn't want to spend $20 on the big one not knowing if I would like it or not. So this just worked out perfect for me! Okay, so starting from left to right of how they are in the package, first up is Butter Yourself. This is a "Super Rich Bodycream" which is what it says on the label and they are once again spot on. This stuff is so thick, so creamy, so moisturizing, oh my goodness. The flavor is described as "5 fruits" and I would also say that is very accurate, it smells very fruity and delicious.
Moving on to our 2nd product this is the Sugar Crush body buttercream. If you love the scent of lime then this is the perfect product for you. It is very very fragrant, but not over powering. It's just right. The scent literally smells exactly like the Yoplait Key lime pie yogurt. Like I am not even joking you could probably pull a pretty good April fools prank and switch the two of them, and just by the scent you wouldn't even know the difference. Just kidding, don't do that thats mean.... ;) Anyways, sorry got a bit sidetrack there. The consistency of this one is definitely not as rich as the one I previously talked about, but it is still very moisturizing.
Now last but definitely not least is the Righteous Butter. Now I mentioned this in my "Winter essentials" post. I actually just realized that on the packaging it says for "Very dry skin" which I never noticed before. But, it makes sense because this body moisturizer is very very moisturizing. I am not even joking if I put this on and then 30 minutes later I got to wash my hands, after I wash them I can still feel the lotion on my skin!
Once again I am sure you guys can already guess that these three are all a definite Love it for me! I love and recommend all of these products, and I think that everyone needs these in their life!

Now lastly we have a 3-in-1 daily detox vitamin C facial wash. I actually bought 3 of these at Sephora because they were only like $3 a piece or something like that, and they are a perfect travel size. I travel quite a bit and always find myself having a dilemma about my big face wash bottle, so I figured why not give these a try. This face wash leaves your skin super clean and fresh feeling. It has a super fruit Plum for skin brightening complex. And for the last product you can guess it, it is a Love it!

I hope you all liked this post, and found it helpful. Soap & Glory is a UK based product, so if you're in the UK I believe it is pretty easy to find there, but if you're not don't worry you can get it at Sephora in stores or online! If you have any questions or comments or whatever you can always ask me in the comments below. I hope you all enjoyed this & Until next time.
XOXO
